Abbotts & Delaunay was founded by Australian Nerida Abbott and oenologist Nigel Sneyd, who combined their passion for the terroirs of the Languedoc with an international perspective on winemaking. Following its acquisition by the Delaunay family, the winery developed a more Burgundian-inspired approach, characterised by careful parcel selection, individual vinification and restrained, targeted use of oak.
The range includes varietal wines, selected single-vineyard cuvées and crus from important Languedoc appellations. Since July 2023, Abbotts & Delaunay has been managed by Jeanne Delaunay, the sixth generation of the winemaking family, who combines Burgundian finesse with the Mediterranean expression of southern France. The wines are distinguished by ripe fruit, a clear sense of origin and a balanced, contemporary style.
