Leitha limestone (fossil-bearing shell limestone).vineyard:
The grapes are sourced from selected top vineyard sites around Oggau am Neusiedler See in the Leithaberg wine-growing region of Burgenland. The vineyards lie on the western shore of the lake, along the gentle foothills of the Leitha Mountains, and predominantly face east to south-east. This aspect provides abundant morning sunlight and even daytime warming. Lake Neusiedl acts as a major heat reservoir, moderating night-time temperatures. These conditions allow for an extended ripening period and promote the concentration of sugar, fruit and aroma required for late-harvest wines.year:
