THE LOCATION - MELTINA (MÖLTEN)
Fifteen kilometres north of the renowned wine cultivation region Terlano (Terlan) and just twenty kilometres away from Bolzano (Bozen) and Merano (Meran), the village of Mölten, located on a tranquil plateau at 1200 metres above sea level, has been successful in preserving the peace and quiet typical for small mountain villages.
Here, surrounded by an idyllic backdrop of mountains and forests where the environment is still intact and all prerequisites for the superlative thriving of wine are fulfilled, we founded our small company in 1979.
This is Europe's highest wine cellar where production still takes place via the classic method. This is where we make South Tyrolean sparkling wine - effervescent jewels which present themselves with uncompromising quality thanks to the greatest artisan skill and dedication.
THE FAMILY
Our winery is a genuine family business, with every family member having a hand in production.
Joseph, is a trained oenologist as well as our technical specialist, keeping in close touch with the wine growers and overseeing the production of our sparkling wines. He is also a globetrotter, representing the Arunda/Vivaldi brand throughout the world at all wine-related events.
Marianne, his wife and herself a qualified sommelière, looks after our visitors in Mölten while her knowledge, intuition and advice are all vital during the delicate assemblage and production phases for our various cuvées.
Michael, having travelled widely as part of his dedication to the culinary arts, is now gradually becoming more involved in the business. He is currently responsible for presentations and events in the firm. His professional aim is to combine a sophisticated style of cooking with our Sekt.
