The Waldschütz Winery is located in Strass-Elsarn, at the beginning of the Kamptal valley. The idyllic region along the Kamp River gives its name to an important wine-growing area that combines so many advantages that it can rightly be considered one of the most exciting in Austria.
For four generations, the secrets of winemaking have been passed down from father to son. This has created a very special bond with this piece of land and the fruits it produces. Since 2023, Markus Waldschütz, a trained winegrower and cellar master, has been managing the 35-hectare family winery. After more than 35 years, Reinhard Waldschütz has successfully handed over the family business to the next generation. Together with his family, Markus Waldschütz succeeds year after year in creating authentic, fruity, fresh wines that are typical of the region. The range extends from Grüner Veltliner and Riesling to Pinot Blanc.
